Established since 1986, Remo Racing Pty Ltd has become one of the largest importers and distributors of kart racing products in Australia and well known around the World. A passion for karting made Remo give up his "safe pensionable job" as a car salesman for Mitsubishi Motors in Horsham and together with his wife Sabrina (who has been in the karting industry all her life) pursued a full-time career in the karting industry.
The early days of Remo Racing were very tough racing away 50 out of 52 weeks a year, they have worked hard to build a successful business and devote most of their leisure time to help their customers.
Remo’s ultimate objective is to help drivers WIN. "Quality service, attention to detail, and the willingness to go above and beyond the expectations of our customers is the key to our growth"
The key to success is good customer service. We work very hard to satisfy our customer’s seven-days-a-week. The business has grown much more than we have ever anticipated. We have now an ever-expanding network of dealers Australia-wide.
Not keen on the city life they decided that home was where they wanted to set-up their business. The Warehouse is situated in Horsham in country Victoria (half way between Melbourne and Adelaide).
What started out as a hobby in his garage ‘Remo’s Kart Racing Services’ years ago, supplying parts to his mates at the club has built up to be a hugely successful business venture with the Company now building a new warehouse, which is over 1,200 square meters.
Remo's passion for karting started when he was 21 in 1981. It was his mates who initiated him into karting. Sitting him in a kart joking that he could not drive but when Remo got out there for the first time they were stunned to see he was a natural racer – he was more shocked than they were – He was hooked. He soon had his own Kart and racing on weekends leading him to leave his band of 10 years ‘Inspiration’ where he played the drums to pursue a Career in professional Kart racing.
Motorsport had gotten into his blood. He chose the number 17 (the V8 Supercar back then of Dick Johnson). At this time, he was involved in the construction of the Horsham Kart Club at which he spent most of his time and was racing on dirt back then. When he started to get competitive he started travelling winning many titles…they called him “The Best Yamaha Driver in Australia” at the time.
It was 1991 when he won his first Australian Championship title in International Class (known as Formula A today). He actually won 3 Australian Titles in 6 months.
Remo never moved onto another class till he had WON the championship…
Remo designed his own Australian made signature kart, the "MONACO GP" back in 1993 and has been a great success ever since.
Success has followed with 48 State Championship Titles in ALL STATES in the following classes:
Senior National, Clubman Light, Clubman Heavy, Clubman O'40s, Piston Port, Class Australia, International and Reed.
Remo has won 6 Australian Championship Titles, he has been on the podium at the Australian Championships 5 times since.
He won the Clubman Heavy State Titles in Victoria 3 years in a row! Now, after his recent State Title win in July 2008, Remo has not lost an O'ver 40's State Title yet. (about 6 years now)
What keeps Remo behind the wheel is his love of competition, the adrenaline and of course the speed; "I have a love for the sport"
Remo is married with 3 children, Remii, Marcus and Scarlett and is a highly self motivated person and has the determination to succeed. Remo said he would retire when he is no longer ‘competitive’ or its no longer ‘fun’.
Remo’s commitment to racing continues in 2008, at the age of 48 he is still competitive, competing against the much younger drivers. He will continue to help turn Kart Racers into stars.

They have a vision that keeps them motivated and efficiently on track...
They see it, feel it, and experience it in their minds and hearts...
People who consistently win have a clear and thoughtful strategy...
They know what they need to do and when they need to do it...
They write it down so they stay on course, and avoid any alternative that does not get them closer to the finish line...
